Live in: North America, Central America and some northern parts of South America. Can live in rocky areas, grasslands or forests.
Eat: Vegetarians, which means they only eat plants. Rabbits prefer eating bark, grasses, shoots, dandelions, clover and tulips. wide variety of plant foods including grasses, sedges, sprouts, leaves, fruits, buds, and bark
Fun Fact: baby rabbit is actually called a kit (short for kitten) Adult females are referred to as a doe, and males are referred to as a buck.
Misconception: Rabbits are not considered a rodent. They are a separate group of animals. Another one, Rabbits prefer carrots to eat. Rabbits shouldn’t eat a lot of carrots because they are high in carbohydrates and can increase their weight, making it difficult to run from predators.
Interesting Fact: They can have up to 5 litters of babies a year, each consisting of up to 9 young. That means they can have up to 45 babies a year!
